Express Track
For time-sensitive manuscripts, Clinical Therapeutics offers this optional service for an additional fee. High quality peer review is completed in 1-2 weeks and comments are provided to the author within 72 hours of their receipt by the editorial office. Authors are asked to submit a revised manuscript within 10-12 days. Accepted manuscripts are processed within 2-3 weeks, published online within 2 business days of final author approval, and in print in the next available issue.
If you would like to use Express Track, please request this service in your cover letter, using “Express Track” in the subject line for online submissions. On sending your submission, please fax a completed Express Track Payment form. We must receive this form before we can proceed with peer review. To cover the cost incurred for expedited review ($2000), you will be charged one fourth ($500) of the fee on receipt of your submission. If your paper is rejected, there will be no further charges; however, if it is accepted, the remainder of the fee is assessed with the per-page service fee.
Citing Express Track Publications
Express Track articles are assigned a digital object identifier (DOI) which allows the paper to be cited in the literature immediately following online publication. Prior to print publication, please cite as follows: Author(s). Title. Clin Ther. Published online: xx Month 200x. doi:10.1016/j.clinthera.200x.xx.xxx. After print publication, add the date of online publication and DOI number to the standard citation.
